Non-Diet Nutrition
Non-diet nutrition is an approach that takes the focus away from dieting, prescriptive protocols or meal plans and removes weight loss as a measurable outcome.
Improving your health and wellbeing is the focus of the consultation, but rather than removing foods or prescribing plans, we begin by investigating your relationship to food, your relationship to your body, and how those interactions impact you.
Externalised rules that govern how, why, when and how much you eat are exchanged for a more investigative and intuitive approach to your beliefs around food, your patterns, the rules you have internalised, and the calculations that may no longer be serving you.
Non-diet nutrition draws on nutrition science as well as behavioural psychology and acknowledges the often complicated relationship between desires to change on the one hand and the ability or capacity to make those changes on the other.
